SOS for water in plastic bottles (TA NEA)

Scientists are sounding the alarm about water in plastic bottles. Not unfairly, since ingredients from the packages even cause hormonal disruptions.

Plastic bottles in which water is bottled appear to pose health risks, as German scientists have found that they can cause hormonal imbalances in men.

Bottled water has already been blamed for the damage it causes to the environment. This is because tons of oil and water are used to produce plastic bottles. A new study shows that these containers can be harmful to health as well, since water bottled in plastic contains twice as many hormones as water from the tap or bottled in a glass container. In other words, it appears that plastic releases components into the water that cause hormonal imbalances. The consequences of drinking in very small doses are not yet known, but it is suspected that it causes disturbances in the sexual and reproductive function of men.
